He was given a set of bongo drums at the age of 3, a guitar at 11;used to sing all the current ads on TV, played violin and the trombone, as well as being part of band in high school. "I played rhythm guitar in church too, after one of the deacons who played took me under his wing and gave me a chance; thats when I really began to fall in love with music", Dean remembers. After that, came a stint doing Deejaying with his older brother. "I was always a deep listener when it came to music, I guess that's why being a DJ was so enjoyable", says Dean. But his real passion was birthed after emigrating to Canada in 1990 and connecting with members of the Kitchener Church of God. After giving his life to christ, Dean began singing a lot more: and since that time he has served as a worship leader (something he still does) and has also recorded with several Gospel artists, including Toronto Mass Choir and Faith Chorale, as well as having sung at many weddings and special events. Not surprising then, that 30 years after leaving England Dean is releasing his own debut CD project entitled BEGINNINGS, due out Oct 13th. Dean says, "I know God has gifted and called me to be a worshiper through music". God has also blessed the powerful, yet versatile tenor with songwriting ability - the new album features 4 songs written and arranged by Dean.
