About the event

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Marcia Brown’s contribution to theatre arts, culture and entertainment through her production company Marcia Brown Productions (MBP). This year also marks our return to the stage after 3 long years

For 20 years MBP has brought audiences, laughter, joy and slice of life lessons in between through high calibre plays such the award winning “I Need To Know My Father”, “Blood Ticka Dan Water” and the critically acclaimed “Rosetta“, “Country Duppy”, “Single Entry” and “Common-Law” while doing its part to preserve our rich culture and provide opportunities to homegrown talent.

To mark our return to the stage and in celebration of this 20th milestone year, MBP will be presenting the phenomenal Dramendy " DECEPTION " for 3 performances only at the Jamaican Canadian Centre over the Father's Day weekend (June 17 and 18).

Written by Brown herself DECEPTION will feature Naggo Morris, a household name and crowd favorite in the city, Adrea Smith who has performed in several MBP plays, Natalie Camille, in her second stint with the company, and first timer in a MBP play, Zill McKenzie.

Advance tickets are only $45.00 and can be purchased via Eventbrite (Links below) or through various ticket outlets across the city
